The Sanpoil River (also spelled San Poil) is a tributary of the Columbia River, in the U.S. state of Washington. The river is named for the Sanpoil, the Interior Salish people who live along the river course. The name is from the Okanagan term [snpʕʷílx], meaning "people of the gray country", or "gray as far as one can see". Course

The San Poil River is a small river that lies primarily within private and Colville Indian Reservation lands. Approximately 2.5 miles of the river lie within NFS lands and access is available along this area. This portion of the river flows through an alluvial valley that has been historically cleared of much of the large timber.

The Keller Ferry, M/V Sanpoil, is a ferry service connecting State Route 21 on the Columbia River between Lincoln and Ferry Counties. Hours of Operation are 6:00 a.m. to Midnight, seven days per week. Ferry service is "on-demand" avoiding unnecessary empty runs.
